Seasons of Reading and Exploring Outside January 21st from 10:30 to Noon

A new book is on display at the Shaw Wetland. This year, with the support of Altrusa of Washington Court House, the Miami Trace Great Oaks FFA, and the Fayette Soil and Water Conservation District we are featuring four different books throughout the year for each season. Mr. Bennett’s Shop Capstone students built 13 new additional book stands for our new book Stranger in the Woods by Carl R. Sams II and Jean Stoick. Each season will also bring a family event which will include reading and fun activities outdoors. “What better way to engage young people by reading, getting outside and learning about nature. This is all made possible with the great partnership of Altrusa, Miami Trace FFA and Fayette SWCD, said Brigitte Hisey, Natural Resource Specialist. The Shaw Wetland on Robinson Road has been a great central location to engage the residence with outdoor opportunities. Visit the Shaw Wetland to read our Winter Book and visit us on January 21st from 10:30 to Noon for some activities around our new addition to the Book Trail.
